An Electrical Thermal Imaging Survey is a safe, cost effective, non-evasive and non-destructive procedure involving the use of a FLIR Thermal Imaging Camera, also known as Thermography.
Thermography is the production of non-contact infrared photographs, highlighting temperature measurements and ‘Hot Spots’ which can aid us in identifying potentially dangerous faults within an Electrical Installation, such as risk of Fire and damage to Property/Equipment
These ‘Hot Spots’ could be a result of the following:
- Loose Connection
- Over Heating
- Cable Insulation Breakdown
- Faulty Equipment
- Load Imbalance
NRT can offer a full Thermography Survey on all types of Electrical Equipment, including:
- LV Switchgear, Distribution Boards & Fuse Boards
- Busbar Systems
- UPS Systems
- Control Panels
- Wiring Systems
Our report will contain both standard and thermal images of each item of equipment tested, together with a description of each fault and remedial actions required. We can also use this information to predict when any maintenance may be required.
As this is a safe and non-evasive procedure, our skilled Thermographers are able to carry out a Survey during normal working hours within most industry types.
